Welcome (back?) to the Philippines examines the colonial archive of Filipino bodies from the photographic evidences (1890-1910) available found at the Rautenstrauch-Joest Museum Photographic Collection. It examines how the manifestation of the colonial exposition exploits the Filipino body by reimagining/ recreating “Filipino” culture via embodiment and performance.
